Students from Year 10 at Vincentia High School are set for great business careers.
The students participated in the recent Australian Business Week (ABW) event and it proved to be a great success.
The students, with the ABW simulations, take on the responsibility of running a virtual business where they make a range of important decisions and manage the results.
The 12 teams competed in the challenge to form a company, hold board meetings, set up a cafe from scratch, create menus, do marketing and through a computer simulation and they ran the financial side of the business over two years, but in reality had in five days to complete their programs.
The event culminated in the students setting up their trade display cafe concept in the school hall for final judging.
The students have many people they would like to thanks.
Thanks goes to the staff mentors, judges, guest speakers, parents and caregivers for supporting the students in this fantastic program.
ABW can have a tremendous impact on these students, allowing them to taste a real world adult experience and learn vital business, workplace and life skills at the same time.
