Shoalhaven Bicycle User Group rides this week include Thursday’s midweek mountain bike ride starting at 8am from Hanging Rock Lookout at the Nowra Showground, cycling to Bamarang Reserve and Long Point Lookout. This is a medium to hard ride over unsealed roads and fire trails so a mountain bike is essential. Bring plenty of water and snacks. There will be a coffee break at the university. This ride was programmed for last Thursday but was cancelled due to inclement weather. Contact: Rod 0428 211 487.

Sunday’s (December 9) ride will be a 35km loop taking in Huskisson, Tomerong and Basin View The ride starts at 9am from the Huskisson Hotel car park. The route is via Tomerong, Basin View, St Georges Basin, Sanctuary Point and back to Huskisson. Refreshments at Vincentia Bakery. Contact: Peter 0419 418 022. (Ride Leader; John Van Duin)
