NSW Rural Fire Service and Shoalhaven City Council crews have been dispatched to the scene, and are working to clear the tree branches from the road.
At 3.45pm a council spokeswoman told Fairfax Media the road was “nearly clear”.

A tree has fallen, creating a traffic hazard on Gerroa Road between Shoalhaven Heads and Gerroa according to a local motorist.
At about 3.10pm, a Shoalhaven News Facebook page user cautioned drivers, posting a photo of the tree, which appears to be blocking one lane of traffic.
It is understood the tree has fallen near the Gerroa Road and Beach Road intersection.
Shoalhaven City Council has been notified about the hazard, however it may be a Kiama Municipal Council responsibility depending on the exact location of the hazard.
It is understood a NSW Rural Fire Service crew is on scene.
