The contemporary artist from Kangaroo Valley has an exhibition, ‘Bugs Galore’ at Shoalhaven Regional Gallery featuring her unique work. It will wrap up on Saturday, December 1.
Kaye’s practice ranges from abstract and abstracted landscape paintings in oils, to sculptural works, conceptual photography and her bug pictures.
Her bug drawings are based on biology and have biomorphic forms.
They are all individual with different personalities and could live in all geographical locations from extreme hot volcanic niches, the desert, to cold polar areas and even under water.
Kaye’s bugs are often concerned with social and political issues such as sexism, racism, homophobia, misogyny and the environment.
