
A NUMBER of Group Seven products have been rewarded for their strong performances on the field in 2018 by being named in the Illawarra Steelers junior development program for next season.

The Steelers SG Ball side, coached by Ben Linde, will be headlined by Group Seven’s Kane Ball (Albion Park-Oak Flats), Zane Boersma (Warilla-Lake South), Josh Coric (Albion Park-Oak Flats), Blake Dowel (Warilla-Lake South), Oscar Fitzpatrick (Milton-Ulladulla), Duke Grant (Warilla-Lake South), Billy Hayburn (Berry-Shoalhaven Heads), Sam Hooper (Warilla-Lake South), Harley Nizza (Albion Park-Oak Flats), Oliver Parrish (Berry-Shoalhaven Heads), Cooper Tunbridge (Albion Park-Oak Flats) and Jack Walsh (Albion Park-Oak Flats).
Rounding out the 30-player squad are Talatau Amone, Toby Boothroyd, Drever Burdis, Ben Byron, Mathew Feagai, Max Feagai, Trent Griffiths, Zach Herring, Connor Muhleisen, Aamon Munro, Sean Payne, Aaron Schoupp, Jackson Shereb, Tyrell Sloan, Treight Stewart, Jayden Sullivan, Tearana Temaari and Rhys Weldon.
While Jono Dallas’ Steelers Harold Matthws team contains 11 Group Seven juniors, including Stingrays sextet Trey Barlow, Toby Peters, Jarvis Polley, Coleby Smith, Kane Stage and Will Starling, Milton-Ulladulla pair Salvatore Gattuso and Jye Hendrie, Warilla-Lake South’s Keith Gatt, St Georges Basin’s Kyle Sackley and Berry-Shoalhaven Heads’ Louie Chilver.
Joining these 11 players in the train-on squad are Liam Arnold, Dilan Asanoski, Callum Cecil, Liam Constable, Joe Duggan, Adam Haddara, Isaiah Kennedy, Ben Lavender, Julian Lee, Viliami Mahe, Declan Manago, Josh Manovski, James McClelland, Nathan Mesinez, Brandon Morkos, Edward Pierce, Max Riolo, Jackson Rowntree and Jacob Webster.
Both squads will trial from December 7 through to mid-January, before the final squads for the 2019 season area announced.
