Clara trained with children and adults alike, even training with the heavyweight medallists from the Australian Tiles who outweighed her by about 90kg. Clara trains at a similar size judo club in France which has the benefit of a permanent training facility for its community members to train at throughout the week.
Bushido Judo Club Shoalhaven has attracted many judo people from overseas, including from Singapore, Italy, Japan, France, Canada, the United States, the Netherlands, and many more visitors from other countries and interstate. This has placed Bushido Judo Club Shoalhaven in a fantastic position with many international visitor experiences and contacts.
The club has many children learning judo at the Shoalhaven Heads Community Centre. They range in age from 5 years and up. The club embraces a student-centred, family friendly, fun environment. All children/families are welcome. Judo is a non-striking Olympic sport that enhances balance, respect, discipline, and fitness in a fun learning environment.
Classes are held on Tuesday evening, from 5.30pm till 6.30pm for beginners and juniors with an additional senior session from 6.30pm till 7.30pm.
Bushido Judo Club Shoalhaven coaches are highly qualified and experienced, with State and National champions including international and Olympic representatives.
