The 21-year-old from Bomaderry was crowned the winner on Saturday, November 24 at the showgirl presentation dinner at the Nowra Golf Club.
More than 100 guests turned out to celebrate the occasion and see a preview of attractions for the upcoming 2019 Nowra Show on February 8 and 9. Keeley Warren was announced the runner-up.
Chloe was sponsored by B&B Heavy Vehicle Repairs and said the announcement came as a shock.
“I was originally in it just to have fun but to win it was just amazing,” she said.
After a day of interviews, Chloe’s final on-stage question saw her share her love of travelling and helping others.
She was asked by the judges if a beneficiary provided her with $10,000, what would she do with it?
“I’ve participated in an education program overseas and been to India twice so I’d love to go travelling the world and help third world country with education programs,” Chloe said.
“I believe education is such a powerful tool and my dream would be to work in rural villages in Africa or Indonesia.”
Chloe will now go on to the Zone 2 Final to be hosted by the Nowra Show Society on February, 23 2019. Along with entrants from 11 other Show Societies, Chloe will be interviewed for the chance to spend a week at the Royal Easter Show, courtesy of the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW.
“it’s been an amazing experience so far and I’m excited for what’s to come,” Chloe said.
“To all the other Showgirls; you’re all amazing and I’m really looking forward to working together with you all at the 2019 Nowra Show.”
The Nowra Show Society congratulated all the 2019 Showgirl entrants, saying they were “all fantastic representatives for their sponsors and for the local area.”
