What draws people to this show? If you ask around the same reply is given, the music.
The music is full of the show's characters' themes, and because if storyline tragedies, these themes lean heavily in the minor key- they key which stirs emotion. Thus, you can't help but love it.
Created by the writers of Miss Saigon, Claude-Michel Schonberg and Alain Boubill from the 1862 novel by Victor Hugo, this production of Les Miserables, performed by Albatross Musical Theatre Company, is outstanding.
Beautifully produced and directed, nothing was overlooked. The principles and ensemble, complied with such dedication, gives the audience a remarkable picture.
The ensemble worked exceedingly well together and all the principles were exceptional, presenting very high standard performances, Nathan Lomas (Valjean), Jmes Ebdon (Javert), Jane McIntosh (Fantine), Briannah Gorden (Cosette), Esabelle Spinelli (Eponine), Kate Beaven-Morris, (Madame Thenardier) and Lloyd McDonad (Thenardier), along with Lachie Mills (marius), Scott Bowcher (Enjolras) and the children, Aleah Gooding and Tallulah Reid (shared the roles of Little Cosette and Eponine), and 11-years-old Lucas Mcdonald, all perfromed outstandingly.
Directed by Suzi Villeneuve Smith and Paul Fraser, and the orchestra conducted by Merrin Ross, this production is not to be missed.
