She had hoped for a bigger turn out to her fundraising event at the Bomaderry Bowling Club, but staff were more than helpful in spreading the news across the club that the raffle was on, with a number of prizes up for grabs thanks to generous donations from businesses based in Nowra and Bomaderry.
Regulars from the weekly darts competition bought raffle tickets, bar staff encouraged patrons to make a donation, and before she knew it, Dianne had raised about $300 on the night.
Dianne was pleasantly surprised with a visit from her QLD-based daughter and grandson that night.
She thanked Lora Berryman who cut her shoulder-length hair at the club and her brother Gary Walker for helping organise the event.
Funds raised were donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
Dianne would like to thank Bomaderry Bowling Club, Bomaderry RSL Club, Stocklands, Coles, Mo Pink Hair, Hello World, Roxy Cinema and Carmels Garden for contributing.
