The Green Machine started pre-season training on Thursday, November 1, with the bulk of the squad who played, including Murchie – who made his NRL debut with the club in 2018, returning to Raiders headquarters to commence preparation for the 2019 season.
The clubs five International players still involved in the England vs New Zealand Test Series will return to training early in 2019, after they finish their representative commitments.
New recruit Ryan Sutton is due to arrive for training on November 9 after enjoying some much-earned time off following his Super League grand final win for Wigan.
The current NRL contracted squad stands at 27 players, with a number of train and trial players vying for a position in the clubs final 30-man squad.
The three open positions in the squad are also open for the possibility of recruiting players from outside the club before the start of the new season.
John Bateman and Ryan Sutton headline the new faces in this year's squad, with Corey Horsburgh, Sebastian Kris and Hudson Young all promoted into the top 30.
The Raiders have also confirmed four of their six development players for the 2019 season, with Brendan O'Hagan, Andre Niko, Kyle Paterson and Paul Roache all training full-time.
The Raiders under 20s squad will be finalised in the next week or two, with some players from within that squad having the opportunity to train with the NRL during the pre-season.
