To celebrate its 25th anniversary, Bundanon Trust recently launched a program of celebratory events. The 25 Over 25 exhibition is a highlight within the lineup.
Over 30 years ago, Arthur and Yvonne Boyd had a vision to create a world-class centre for the creative arts where artists from all disciplines could share and draw inspiration from the Bundanon properties and Shoalhaven landscape.
An informal artist-in-residence (AIR) program began at Riversdale not long after the property was accepted as a gift by then prime minister Paul Keating in 1993.
By February 1998, the Bundanon Artists Centre was complete and the AIR program was formally established. It is now the largest residency program of its kind in the country, providing creative time and space for about 350 artists each year.

The works in the 25 Over 25 exhibition are by 25 selected artists who have taken part in the residency program over the past 25 years. These works were donated by the artists and are all from the Bundanon Trust Collection. It has been curated by collections and exhibitions manager Jennifer Thompson, with a variety of media represented, including printmaking, painting, tapestry and photography.
Some of the artists with featured works include Robert Dickerson, Scott Hocking, Rosemary Laing, Camille Serisier and more. This remarkable exhibition will run on Sundays from 10.30am to 4pm, until April 7, 2019 in the Upstairs Gallery of Bundanon Homestead.
