Cummins and Hazlewood have been named in the 12-person squad as they continue their return to the Australian team from injury.
Comets coach Kyle Piper believes the inclusion of the two fast bowlers will have a big impact on his players.
"It’s a great privilege for our side to have two of the premier fast bowlers in the world play with us for the week," Piper said.
"Josh and Pat will help us compete this week, but I am sure our group will learn so much from them that will stand us in good stead to compete moving forwards.
“The opportunity for our aspiring quicks of Greg West, Tom Pinson, Hayden Kerr and Nathan McAndrew to spend the week with Josh and Pat is one I know they are highly respectful of and one that is invaluable.”
The Comets defeated Queensland by an innings and 184 runs in their opening match of the season at Manuka Oval.
