The Bureau of Meteorology has forecast showers for the Shoalhaven region by Saturday afternoon, as well as a potential thunderstorm.
“A thunderstorm likely during this afternoon and evening, possibly severe," the bureau said.
Light winds are expected throughout the day, but will increase by the afternoon, becoming south to southeasterly at 20 to 30 km per hour in the evening.
The bureau has also issued a marine wind warning for the Illawarra coast.
Temperatures are set to drop significantly by Sunday, with top temperatures only expected to reach 16 degrees at Nowra.
Up to 35mm of rain is expected to fall over Nowra on Sunday, before easing on Monday and Tuesday.
The temperatures will warm up again by Tuesday before dropping to the low 20s again on Wednesday and Thursday.
