A 34-year-old Nowra woman found guilty of indecently assaulting a nine-year-old girl has been jailed for two years.

The woman, who can’t be named for legal reasons, pleaded not guilty to two charges of indecently assaulting a person under 16.
In Nowra Local Court on Tuesday, October 15, Magistrate Gabriel Fleming found the woman not guilty of one charge but guilty of the other offence.
Court papers said the offence happened at Sanctuary Point between January 11-12 this year.
The woman was sentenced to two years’ jail from March 24, with a non-parole period of 12 months.
She will be eligible for release on January 23, 2019.
