Phillips and fellow Greater Illawarra products Blake Nikitaras, Matt Calder, Iain Carlisle and Dom O’Shannessy are in coach Kyle Piper’s 13-person squad, which will compete in Adelaide from December 3-13.
The Nowra High School student was selected in this squad, following a strong showing the recent State Challenge.
ACT/NSW Country coach Piper, was very pleased with the hard work shown by all 13 cricketers as part of the 21-player extended squad throughout the winter months.
“The work ethic of the group has culminated in the players competing at a very high level at the State Challenge,” Piper said.
“This ability to compete in key moments as they arise will be critical with what lies ahead.
“I am sure that the players are very respectful of such a privileged opportunity to play at a national carnival for the ACT/NSW Country."
