Saturday’s forecast was for strong winds, which put a number of fishermen off but they were a little lighter than predicted early, while Sunday saw wind and rain.
Overall, they had seven anglers weigh-in – one in the deep sea section and six in beach, rock and estuary, who combined for a total of 30 fish.
Well done to Scott Danvers who weighed the largest fish, an Australian Salmon and Brian Smith who weighed the most fish (eight).
Jim Field took out the deep sea section, while the top three in beach, rock and estuary were Brian Smith, Frank Huzjan and Mic Westaway – with Gavin Woolmer winning the luck door prize.
Fish caught this month included flathead, tailor, flounder and luderick.
The club thanks everyone who took part in this competition and looks forward to strong roll up at their next meeting on November 4.
