A PAIR of Group Seven products have starred at Poland smashed Hong Kong in their opening match of the Rugby League Emerging Nations World Championships on Thursday.

Jamberoo brothers Michal and Simon Maslanka scored two tries each as Poland won 62-6 in wet conditions at St Marys Leagues Stadium.
Others to score for the victors were Chippie Korostchuk (three), Jonah Metuangaro (two), Robert Mykietyn, Robert Mykietyn and Ethan Niszczot – who also landed seven kicks at goal.
Hong Kong’s only try was scored by Craig McMurrich, with Richard Lindsay converting.
Poland, a squad that also contains Kiama’s Mark Churmycz and Warilla-Lake South’s Tynan Forster, next play Japan on October 7 at New Era Stadium, Cabramatta.
