Arnold has made a name for himself in Legend Cars over the past four seasons, not only in Australia but also in America where he became the only Australian driver to win both the 2017 INEX Nationals in North Dakota and the Race of Champions.
But the current and two-time Australian Champion is wanting to go to another level by stepping into one of the country’s leading classes.
After purchasing a Mopar-powered Spike car from Queenslander Anthony Chaffey, Arnold and his team have been deep in preparation for their upcoming campaign, making no assumptions that this transition will be an easy one. With two practice sessions now under his belt at Sydney’s Valvoline Raceway, Arnold is excited about his new challenge.
“I’m really looking forward to stepping into the Speedcar class and none of this would have been possible without the wonderful support of my team and all of our sponsors,” the 23-year-old racer enthused.
“The goal for the team is to pick up as much experience and knowledge as we can during the season so we can work towards hopefully being a consistent top-10 contender.”
Planning to contest the full Valvoline Raceway schedule, Arnold will also participate in the South Australian and Victorian Titles. His season is set to get underway this Saturday night at Valvoline Raceway, where he is hoping to make a pleasing Speedcar debut.
