The first half proved to be a real battle of attrition, as both sides were unable to get across the try line.
The Sharks had a chance to gain an early 2-nil lead through Hayley Bartlett whose respective penalty goal attempt was waved away.
Albion Park mounted plenty of pressure on the Sharks defence as majority of the first period took place inside the Sharks half.
Shellharbour were able to get out of trouble through their excellent kicking game and at half-time the scores remained at nil-all.
Both teams struggled to gain any momentum in attack as play was constantly interrupted by handling errors and penalties.
Shellharbour enjoyed more possession of the football deep in enemy territory but couldn't capitalise on their opportunities when given.
On the back of a number of penalties, the Eagles finally broke the deadlock with five minutes left of the match, as Vanessa Grady slotted a crucial penalty goal 15 metres out from the Sharks try line.
Shellharbour threw everything at the Eagles defence as Albion Park held on to win the WLT2 grand final by 2-nil.
Taimeka Jarrett was awarded best on field while Kira Ramsey, Jessie Sheridan also stood out for Albion Park.
Carly Staples, Tarryn Docker and Leea Harvey were Shellharbour’s best in the loss.
