The Vincentia/Huskisson fans, at Ison Park, South Nowra, cheered as the Bomaderry fans sighed.
With a minute to go the score was nil-all and both teams would have been mentally preparing for extra time.
Then the referee’s whistle blew.
A Seagulls player was knocked to the ground and the referee awarded Husky a shot at goal.
Seagull’s captain Shaun Ward stepped up the mark and his kick found the back of the net.
The match, in general, was a close affair and both teams had their chances.
The Seagulls had the most attacking chances but the Bomaderry defenders were solid and hard to get past.
Nelson Bradley and Jordan Reid played well for the Seagulls.
The Tigers played their hearts out and they should be commended for their efforts.
