Over the past 70 years many very fine musicians have given concerts for Music Shoalhaven, including Roger Woodward and a young Dame Joan Sutherland.
Music Shoalhaven, this weekend, will present two wonderful 70th anniversary events.
On Saturday September 15 TRIO 42 will perform at Cambewarra Lookout Café, 6pm and the cost is $50.
TRIO 42 comprises Jim Dorrington (guitar), Vicki McCartney (flute) and Anne Stuart (‘cello).
Vicki and Anne are also well-known local GPs and Jim was awarded the Shoalhaven Medal in 2014 for his long-term involvement in bringing musical activities to children and adults with special needs. TRIO 42 has enjoyed previous opportunities to perform for Music Shoalhaven, giving two concerts at the Berry Courthouse over the years.
TRIO 42 will delight Saturday’s audience with music as delicious as the Tapas also being served.
On Sunday September 16 the Bluescope Youth Orchestra will perform at the Nowra School of Arts, from 2pm and entry cost $30
Bluescope Youth Orchestra is based at Wollongong Conservatorium and is now in its 33rd year providing performance opportunities and orchestral training to the youth of the Illawarra, Southern Highlands, southern Sydney and at times the Shoalhaven.

BlueScope Youth Orchestra will perform orchestral classics, jazz and film music, and will feature the talented soloist, Mitra. A tasty afternoon tea and delicious Birthday cake will round off the afternoon’s entertainment.
