THE Bomaderry Tigers became the first ever minor premiers of the AFL South Coast women’s competition on Saturday, after finishing their season on a high against Nowra-Albatross.

At West Street Oval, the Tigers thumped the Vikings 15.16-106 to 0.0.0, with Josephine Hudson leading the way with four goals.
Other Tigers goal kickers included Maddison Pearson (three), Felicity Hector (two), Jessica Thomas, Kate Phillips, Jaimi-Lee Gibbs, Grace Chapman, Bridget Kellett and Lily Macdonald.
As minor premiers, the Tigers now enjoy the weekend off and will play the winner of Kiama and Wollongong Lions in the major semi-final on September 8.
Not to be outdone, the Tigers division two men’s side crushed the Vikings 13.11-89 to 2.6-18 – with Jordan Matthews taking his season total to 72 with four more goals.
Matthews was well supported by Brent Herdman (three goals), Matt Polman (two), Josh Lapatha (two) and Nick Mackey (two).
Finally, the Tigers third division men’s side locked up a top-two spot after edging Shellharbour 9.6-60 to 5.7-37 at Myimbarr Oval.
In the win, Andrew Ellis and Nathan Thomas both kicked two goals, while Tristan Craig, Matthew Barnes, Nick McDonald, Adriaan Toms and Christian Mills all kicked one major.
