It is understood a number of local gyms in Nowra have received an email from Lorna Jane this week.
The email was sent to alert gym members and visitors about the Lorna Jane pop up, coming to 43 Kinghorne Street, Nowra.
George and Petra, who stock Lorna Jane products in town, were reeling when they heard Integrity Real Estate was promoting the pop-up, and later, about the company email sent to local gyms.
They believe the pop-up will severely impact sales at their Kinghorne Street store for months to come.
A Lorna Jane spokeswoman said the pop-up was a brand-building initiative, designed to create more demand for their products.
However, George and Petra were not consulted by Lorna Jane about the pop-up in advance.
George said Lorna Jane had not been in touch with them about the pop-up until Wednesday afternoon, more than a day after Integrity Real Estate announced the pop-up was coming to town.
“If they want to help, either take our stock and sell it, or don’t come here, we already support your line,” George said.
It took them months to recover from a past Lorna Jane pop-up sale - demand for the products at Sportspower disintegrated.
Sportspower Nowra was only able to sell a handful of Lorna Jane products over a five-month period.
