The U14s played Collegians at home. With 11 players this week, the team was keen to get some points on the board. Starting off strong they held their opponents scoreless until midway through the first half when Collegians busted the Dolphins defence to score.

An injury to Jake Meredith saw the team reduced to 10 players for the remainder of the game however the boys dug deep and hit back with a Jack Lonesborough try. This was the lift the team needed and they continued with strong running, tight defence and positive talk for the remainder of the game.
With the score 18-6 to Collegians at half time Culburra came out in the second half ready to put more points on the board. Dylan Burns converted his own try and Jack Lonesborough earned his second try for the day. In the end it wasn’t enough with the Dolphins going down 24-14.
This was the last home game for these boys and they showed plenty of heart winning the admiration of the crowd by their never give up attitude. Corey Kelly, Ayden Rowley and Tom Latta put in great performances as did Jeremiah Welsh and Jack Lonesborough.
The U16s was a replay of the 2017 Grand Final with Shellharbour Stingrays visiting Culburra. A dominant display by the Dolphins forward pack paved the way for the halves to control the game and take a solid victory. Elijah Devo, Samui Takuafu & Zack Kelly were devastating. Kaleb Stewart, Braydon Ramsey and Jayden Brody guided the side around the park asking questions of the Stingray’s defence.
Cameron Haydock was again strong around the ruck, Dallas Riley-Burns acting as fullback also gave a good account of himself.
