THE Bomaderry RSL Amateur Fishing Club held their first competition of the 2018/19 season on August 4 and 5, with tailor being fish of the month. In estuary, standouts were John Muller (three ludderick), Stuart Hotchin (three fish), Ron Smith (three bream), Marlene Smith (five bream), Tony Smith (one bream), Jai Smith (two species), James Speer (one flathead) and Cameron Rouse (two flathead). Lance Harvey (two salmon), Phil Muller (six fish ), Bill Hunter (one salmon) and Barry Muller (seven fish) shone in the beach section, while Doug Payne (three fish) and Rob Struber (one drummer) stood at in deep sea and rocks respectively. Awards went to; Phil Muller (winner, fish of month and mystery weight), Barry Muller (runner-up), Marlene Smith (women), Jai Smith (junior), James Speer (sub-junior), Doug Payne (snapper), Tony Smith (bream) and Darryl Salway (mystery fisher). Competition two is on August 25-26.
