Murray Deakin, 20, will face 10 charges on Tuesday, including the alleged stabbing of his grandparents Gail and Thomas Winner at their home in East Street, Bega on Friday, June 1.
Ms Winner, 69, later died at the South East Regional Hospital, while Mr Winner, 71, was taken to Canberra Hospital in a critical condition.
The incident resulted in an extensive police ground and air search of the area and alleged police pursuit, for which Mr Deakin is also being charged.
Former police officer Mick Horne, 54, was allegedly attacked with a hammer by Mr Deakin during a carjacking on Sapphire Coast Dr that same night, and later died as a result of his wounds in St Georges Hospital.
Mr Deakin also faces two charges of wounding with intent to murder, and assaulting police causing actual bodily harm.
