The three points saw the reigning premiers lock up the prestigious Shoalhaven Football competition championship, with three regular season rounds still to play.
The win, the Tigers’ 16th of the season, was set up by goals from Nick Evans, James Eldred and Jordan Haddow as well as a Manyana own goal.
“The game was physical from the outset but you expect that going into any match at Manyana,” Aldridge said.
“But once we settled, I thought we controlled the game well and were rewarded with a solid 4-nil win.”
While Aldridge is stoked to have achieved one of the team’s goals, he is also focused on the big picture.
“At the start of the season, we set ourselves a couple of goals and it’s good to get one out of the way,” he said.
“Especially with us not winning the competition championship last year, it’s one we really wanted to get, as it shows consistency week in and week out.
“It’s not easy to do and I take my hat off to my players, who go out each week and execute the game plan.
“This also shows the depth at the club, across all grades – we are in a good place.
“From here, we will continue chipping away, as the premiership is the next goal in our sights.”
The Tigers, who are undefeated through the first 19 rounds, sit on 53 points, nine points clear of second placed Gerringong – who smashed Sussex 6-nil.
All three points for Jadon Lavington’s troops was sealed by hat-tricks from both Kane Rowe and Jake Packham.
Hot on the Breakers’ heels are Culburra, who defeated Milton-Ulladulla 4-1 at Ison Park.
The win, which leaves the Cougars two points adrift of the Breakers, was set up by a brace to Dale Blundell, with Jackson Balmer and Joel Fowler rounding out the scoring.
In the loss, Zane Wilson continued his strong season for the Panthers with another goal.
Elsewhere, Shoalhaven United returned to the winner’s circle by defeating Shoalhaven Heads-Berry 4-1 at Vic Zealand Oval.
Shane Button, Taite Arney, Mathew Fuz and Matt Lewis all scored for the Bears, while Raf Lombardo scored the Sharks’ lone goal.
The final game saw Illaroo and St Georges Basin share the points at Sharman Park, with the game ending 1-all.
The hosts’ goal was scored by Stewart Bowe, while Tyrone Nye-Williams found the back of the net for the Dragons.
Fourth placed Huskisson-Vincentia had the bye.
