Killer Rides Live, the event part of Killer Rides Magazine, will bring all kinds of high-performance, classic and custom vehicles to the showground on August 11, showcasing the custom car scene in a non-alcohol, family friendly environment.
Along with the cars, there will be trade stalls and food outlets onsite.
In a first for this type of event, the cars will take part in a “cruise session” where the owners will be able to slowly drive around the top part of the showground to show the general public just how the cars sound and feel when being used. This will take place mid-afternoon.
After the Trophy Presentation, organisers will prepare for the Drive-In Night – an open air cinema set up on the grassed oval for all to enjoy.
The general public is welcome to come along, bring a chair and enjoy the movie experience. The open-air cinema is included in the entry fee of just $10 for adults and just $5 for children under 13. This will start at 5.30pm.
In conjunction with the car show, there will be a Winter Warm Up appeal where entrants and spectators are asked to bring along blankets and warm clothes that they no longer need, use or fit. These will be collected for the Salvation Army to distribute to the less fortunate in and around the Southern Highlands this winter.
Those keen to enter their cars, can do so on the day from 7am. The event opens to the public at 9am. Further information can be found at www.killerrides.com.au or call Paul Beck on 0432 795 336.
