It’s a great way to get tongues wagging.
It seems everyone has an opinion about what it is that makes this area great.
Some would say it’s the region’s incredible array of food and wine offerings, others would cite the world-renown natural beauty of coastal areas like Jervis Bay.
Perhaps it’s the diverse variety of businesses and organisations, run with passion and vigour by dedicated teams.
Or maybe it’s the people – hard working, empathetic locals who are always quick to shoot you a smile, strike up a conversation or help out where they can.
The Shoalhaven Local Wonders project is designed to celebrate all things Shoalhaven – the people, places and experiences our region has to offer.
It’s a celebration of our community that we hope will create a deeper appreciation for our surrounds.
Whether it’s picnicking with kangaroos at the wonderful Pebbly Beach, sampling the pies at the local bakery or seeing the sunrise from Gossang’s Tunnel, everyone will have their own ‘local wonders’.
We want to hear from you! Members of our community young and old; clubs, businesses, schools and everyone in between.
