ON Sunday, the Archer Fishing Club held their annual presentation day, which saw Peter Suitor named the men’s beach, estuary and European carp champion, while David Berger claimed the snapper and open championship.

Also in the men’s division, Rod Bilsborough took out the rock championship, champion of champions, Eddie vs Russell Memorial trophy and most points on an outside outing, as Glen Messingham was named fresh water champion.
Rounding out the men’s prizes were Craig Groves (men’s champion), Robert King (jewfish), Glenn Drady (Wild Bill Hislop black fish), Joshua fernie (screw driver) and Peter Fernie (men’s handicap).
Women’s trophies went to Allison Duffy (champion and estuary champion), Gail Biggs (handicap) and Michelle Campbell (deep sea), while veterans prizes went to Bruce Elliot (deep sea), Jack Price (estuary), Ian Baxter (estuary beach) and Frank Cooper (estuary rocks).
Bella Brodrick won both the girls handicap and girls championship, while boys prizes went to Jett Taylor (estuary and champion), Nate Taylor (handicap) and Nash Collins (encouragement).
Fish outside an outing awards went to Rod Bilsborough (salmon and samson fish), David Berger (snapper), Peter Suitor (flathead and European carp), Glen Messingham (yellow bellie) and Karen Fox (bream).
Finally, the special club awards went to Bruce Elliot (clubperson), Nash Collins (boys clubperson), Ayla Brodrick (girls clubperson), Illona Coote (clubwoman) and Karen Fox (president’s award).
