Joel Manuel Dunning, 26, of Wallaga Lake pleaded guilty to high-range drink driving and driving while suspended in Nowra Local Court.
Court papers said Dunning was found by police driving in Kameruka Crescent, Nowra on March 23.
He returned a positive breath test and then later a breath reading of 0.18.
Police checks also revealed he was a suspended driver.
Magistrate David Williams sentenced him to eight months’ jail but suspended the sentence.
He disqualified him from driving for six months and ordered he have an interlock device fitted to his vehicle for two years.
He was also fined $400 for driving while suspended.
