The event is said to be the biggest of it’s kind combining two favourites, chocolate and chilli.
Held at Archer Racecourse in Nowra on July 29, the event will be a fun-filled family day out with live entertainment and more than 80 stalls of only the best chilli and chocolate products.
Building on the excitement around the live cooking demonstration last year, the festival will see the return of TV chef, Jason Roberts of Sydney’s Bistro Moncur.
Joining him this year is Travin Dehoeldt, finalist in this year’s Patisserie of the Year competition, and local Chef Nick Gardner, previously of Tetsuya’s and Quay and now proud owner of Hampden Deli, Dining and School in Kangaroo Valley.
Live entertainment will be provided by the Con Artists, Wollongong Conservatorium's all ages community band, adult community musicians, and some of the region’s most prominent folk musicians.
Topping off the day will be the return of the infamous chilli eating competition – the only one of it’s kind in the region, with a $100 voucher from Nowra Farmer’s Market up for grabs.
Mr Chilli will also be on hand to judge and award the coveted Best Chilli, Best Chocolate & Best Chilli and Chocolate products on the day.
Entry for children under 16 is free, with adults only $5 which includes an entry into the draw to win a range of different spicy and sweet products from our stalls. Gates open at 9.30am and close at 3.30pm.
