You do not need the State of Origin to get your rugby league fix - just head to an oval near you and watch the local juniors play.
Local clubs like the Culburra, Berry, St Georges Basin, Nowra and Bomaderry have many talented players in their ranks and entertainment is always high on the list when these teams come out to play.
Thanks should go to all the volunteers from these clubs, from the people in the canteen, the coaches, committee members and many others, for giving up their time to help promote junior sports.
Special appreciation goes to the refs and the touch-judges as without the officials no games would be played.
These young players are also learning important skills while they play and making life-long friends.
Thanks also to Lisa McConville (Bomaderry), Jakki Haydock (Culburra) and Kerrie Regan (Warriors) for supplying some of the photos.
