Mohawks Defeated Phoenix 8-3
For Mohawks, Darren Brudenell had four finishes and 140. Pat Duke had four finishes (good to see you back Pat) and Shirley Butler had three finishes. Jodie Armstrong and Tracy Lymbery had three finishes each for Phoenix and Jodie threw the high score of 129. Steve Neader had a finish and 132 and Danny Watson top scored with 138.
Kookaburras Defeated Meerkats 7-4
Vic Leng and Leanne Blair had four finishes for Kookaburras with Vic also throwing the high score of 140. Pat Mitchell threw 124. For Meerkats, Vic Walker had four finishes while Kate Watson and Fran Cruickshank had one each. Ken O'Neill top scored with 121.
Pirates Defeated Cherokees 6-5
Peter Wood was best player for Pirates with five finishes and Peter, Ray Cattermole and Phil Reeves threw the high score of 140. Karey deBakker had two finishes. Bev Jouannet and Kay Dowell had four finishes each for Cherokees with Bev also throwing the high score of 133. Luke Thompson had a finish and Barry Jouannet top scored with 134.
Dragons Defeated The Bangers 6-5
Georgie Vider had a great game for Dragons with five finishes, one of those being a great 158 peg. Well done Georgie. Peter Vider had three finishes and Jeff Brooks threw the high score of 125. Dave Harrison played well for The Bangers with five finishes and 140. Elissa Allard had three finishes and 133.
Coyotes Defeated Camels 6-5
Shane Pritchard had four finishes and 120 for Coyotes and wife Berlinda had three finishes and 115. Peter Godfrey, Megan Stewart and Clancy Orlando had three finishes each for Camels and Peter top scored with 140. Sue Kenny threw 123.

Emus ran to fast for Squirrels winning 11 games to 2. Ray Cattermole had seven finishes and the high score of a great 180. Squirrels played one short. Ken Kelleher had four finishes and the high score of 140.
Bandicoots dug in to win 9 games to 2. Kelly Hogan had six finishes and Matt Goozeff had the high score of 140. Falcons played one short. Nathan Simpson had six finishes and the high score of 140.
Pelicans flew too for Penguins winning 9 games to 2. Darren Brudenell had ten finishes and the high score of 2 x 180’s. Lucas Gray had six finishes and Ken O’Neill had the high score of 140.
Dingos munched on sparrows to win 8 games to 4. Both teams played one short. Bim Stewart had six finishes and Peter Wood had the high score of 140. For Sparrows John Perrin had four finishes and the high score of 133.
Wombats was a little too slow letting Hyenas win 7 games to 6. Barry Jouannet had six finishes and the high score of 133. Wombat’s Dave Hogan had eight finishes and the high score of 140.
Ravens swooped on Cougars to win 7 games to 6. Duane Lichtenhaul had 11 finishes and share the high score of 140 with Jamie Watson. Cougar’s Danny Watson had six finishes and shared the high scored of 140 with Peter Coggins.

The Country Club St George’s Basin Women
There were 43 players who competed for the July Medals in windy conditions. The gold medal was won by Deb Weeks with a fine 81/74. Silver was won by Lynn Dunn, 102/76 and Catherine Hayward took the bronze with 110/72. Catherine also won the vets overall with the best nett of the day. Those three winners won the gross as well in their divisions. Julie Atlee was r/u in division 1 on c/ b from Liz Cullen, 77 nett.
In division 2 Diane Mc Ivor was r/ u with 78 and next was Judy Fishwick with a 79. Deb Glover had 75 to be r/ u in division 3, with Christine Black on 77 the third place getter.
NTP was Vicki Diefenbach in division 1, on the 10th hole. Divisions 2 and 3 will jackpot next week as no one there found the green. Deb Weeks and Julie Atlee putted like demons to need just 29 putts for the round.
Silver pennants have finished for this year. Better luck in 2019. Our Gold team is improving each week, and has two matches to go for the season.
The committee is busy preparing for our Country Club Cup which will be played in conjunction with our Charity Day 24 th August. An invitation is extended to all women golfers to join us on this day.)
Next big events on the calendar are the 4 bbb vs par to be played at Worrigee next month, and the WGI district tournament scheduled for Port Kembla in September. Keep up the training so that you peak at the right time my friends.

The weather was kind this week and all competitions were able to be held, although Saturday was a bit cold & windy.
Saturday's event was the prestigious Monthly Medal, sponsored by our loyal members, Kees Quinten & Stephen Roby. Thank you for your continuing sponsorship. The main prize of the day, for the best nett score, is the Monthly Mug and this was won by Trevor Kanaar with a nett 65. 'A' Grade was won by Max Carney with 77/66 from Tony Hosler 77/68 and Michael Russell 79/70. Max also won the scratch on countback and Roger Hardy took out the long drive. Neil Dinnie, with 81/66,won his second 'B' grade medal on the trot, from John Henry 83/67 and Grant Gleeson 87/68. Neil also had the best scratch score and long drive. Trevor Kanaar blitzed 'C' Grade with 96/65 from Glenn Buikstra 92/70 and Peter Rowell 97/71. Glenn Buikstra won the scratch score and Gordon Lymbery took out the long drive. Nearest the Pins were won by Trevor Barrington on the 4th, Ian Hayes-Williams on the 8th, the 12th to Phil Reid and Andrew Goodman had the best shot on the 16th.
Vet's on Tuesday held a 2 Person Aggregate Stableford where Sue Hunter & Linda Trusler won the women's section with the best score of the day, 69 points. Balls went to 58 points. Nearest the pins were won by Angela Boadle on the 4th & 12th, Lyn Hatchman was closest on the 8th and Linda Trusler took out the 16th. The men's section was won by Norm Levi & Nev Harrison with 68 points, just in front of John Ludewig & Kevin Pritchard on 67. Balls went to 62 points. Nearest the pins were won by Bob Jessep from The Heads on the 4th, Derek Trusler took out the Jackpot on the 8th, Ted Wright had the best shot on the 12th and Norm Levi was closest on the 16th.
Women's Golf held their Monthly Medal, and with the best score of the day, Peta Merchant won the Monthly Glass with 71 nett after a countback. Division 1 was won by Peta 86/71 from Jill Levi 96/79. Division 2 was won by Shirley Moore 96/71 from Robyn Moore 103/76 and Division 3 was won by Betty Tucker 109/77 from Marj Burns 112/80. Balls went to 82 nett. The Scratch scores were also taken out by Peta, Shirley & Betty. Nearest the pins were won by Sandra England, Linda Trusler & Jeanna Walsh on the 8th and Jill Levi, Shirley Moore & Betty Tucker on the 17th. The Jackpot was contested on the 12th and the lucky winners were Peta Merchant, Maree McLean & Barb Howsan. The putting competition was won by Maree McLean with 26 putts.
Several members rolled up on Sunday morning for a working bee to assist Louis, our greenkeeper, to have the course in good shape for next Saturday's Shoalhaven Cup and a lot of tidying up was done.
On Sunday July 22 we will be holding our Junior Open and if any members are available to assist with spotting (shotgun start at 9am) please let Tony Hunter (Mob 0407604089) know. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Today’s vets golf competition was a stroke round for the Monthly mug. A field of 35 players teed off in chilly but great conditions and the day just got better. Today’s winner was Dave Dickeson with a nett 62 off a 26 handicap. Well played Dave a great score. Second home was Bob Bell with a 65 off a 24 handicap. Third was Geoff Blackshaw with a 69 off a 27 Handicap. Seems the C graders had a good day today!! None of the 35 players in the field was able to hit either the 10th or the 14th greens today. Ball rundown today was to 76 with 9 players receiving a ball each. Nearest the pins today were: 3rd Michael Inness. 11th Kenneth Higgs. 16th Harold Reynolds. Raffle winners were: B. Sutherland. C. A beautiful but windy day today for the Men’s monthly Medal round. A field of 38 players teed off today with Brendon Wade outright winner, winning the day with a nett 67 off a 36 handicap. Second home was Nick Mansell with a nett 68 off a 26 handicap, third was Greg Mytilinios with a nett 70 off of a 5 handicap and fourth was Perry Cousins with a nett 70 off a 21 handicap. Monthly medal winners for today were: A grade: Greg Mytilinios off 5 with a nett 70. B grade: Perry Cousins off 21 with a nett 70. C grade: Brendon Wade off 36 with a nett 67.
The Golf Exchange Sth Nowra challenge on the 11th hole for the first person to get a ball inside the circle round the hole, finally went off today to Glenn Hosking who won the $440 prize. Many thanks to Garry at Golf Exchange Sth Nowra for his continued support. Amazingly that wasn’t the end of the fun on the 11th as the next group along saw Greg Mytilinios score a hole in one!!! Too late for the prize but a box off balls for the eagle. Ball rundown today was to 76 with 10 players all receiving a ball each.
