This concept involves the students being rewarded for being a Zero Hero for 90 per cent of the term.
To be a Zero Hero the students are required to be responsible, respectful and safe.
It’s not an easy feat, but the teachers at North Nowra could not be prouder to take 133 students, almost 70 per cent of the school, out to celebrate their amazing behaviour and learning achievements during term one.
North Nowra’s Zero Heroes were treated to a free fun day out where they were continually entertained by talented performers from Super Wrestling Heroes.
The show was interactive and had the children and teachers up and active and bursting with laughter.
They loved the magic show, performed by Traffic, but the highlight was the cake in the face act for one of our students, whose birthday was on the day.
The students were also treated to a free sausage sizzle lunch with fresh watermelon, kindly donated by the school’s Parents and Citizens Association.
The entire day was a wonderful celebration of excellent learning for life skills, community and personal achievements for the students at North Nowra Public School.
The school’s goal is to have 90 per cent of it school community attend the next Zero Hero Day, which is currently in the planning process.
North Nowra Public School is now accepting enrolments for 2019.
