You must be doing right if you can beat a traditionally strong home side like the Culburra Cougars.
Huskisson/Vincentia showed it can match any team in the Shoalhaven Football Association’s first division competition with its away win against the Cougars on Saturday.
Culburra Oval has been an unhappy hunting ground for many a visiting team but Huskisson/Vincentia played a great match to record a 2-nil victory.
Meanwhile, the Bomaderry Tigers continues to steamroll any team that stands in its way.
The Tigers at Bomaderry Oval smashed the Sussex Seahawks 7-nil in what has to be described as an impressive win.
In other results from Saturday the Gerringong Breakers defeated Milton Ulladulla 3-1 at Lighthouse Oval, St Georges Basin produced a strong all-round effort to beat Shoalhaven United 4-1 at Lyrebird Park and Manyana held onto defeat Illaroo 3-2 at Manyana Sports Park, while Shoalhaven Heads Berry had the bye.
The updated ladder is Bomaderry well on top with 40 competition points followed by Gerringong 32, Culburra 32, Huskisson/Vincentia 31, St Georges Basin 22, Illaroo 19, Manyana 18, Shoalhaven United 14, Sussex Seahawks 14, Milton Ulladulla 13 and Shoalhaven Heads Berry 8.
