Volunteer firefighters have been left disappointed and disheartened after vandals attacked the Callala Bay RFS station.

On Sunday evening vandals smashed a total of five windows and destroyed fly screens at the fire station.
All of the windows on the northern and southern side of the station were smashed and six panels of glass had to be replaced.
Members of the brigade were “severely disappointed” after discovering what they described as a “malicious" attack.
RFS District Manger Superintendent Mark Williams said the damage cost the brigade a couple of thousand dollars to repair.
“Whatever we spend on these repairs is money that takes away from other projects that could benefit the community,” he said.
Mr Williams said it was not the first time the station had been vandalised.
“It’s pretty disheartening that people would do this to a volunteer brigade, but we will be increasing our presence and surveillance in the area to stop this from happening again,” he said.
While the Callala Bay brigade are a “resilient mob”, Mr Williams said it was disappointing the volunteer-run station was targeted.
“They do their very best to support the community and they should be shown the same respect,” he said.
Mr Williams had one message for the vandals, “grow up and do something productive with your time.”
