More than 45 people attended the service on a cool afternoon at Rauch Park, Junction Street, Nowra.
The commemorative address was given by Lieutenant Commander Jodie Turkenburg from HMAS Albatross.
Of course no service is complete without Peter Williams and his Boer War bugle.
Wreaths were laid by local ex-service organisations and politicians, as well as a few Boer War veteran descendants.
