The Callala Winter Arts Festival is on again this June long weekend (June 9-10) and his year’s event has expanded to include lots of fun activities on the weekend.
The art exhibition’s grand opening will be held on tonight, June 8 from 6pm at the Callala Beach Hall.
There will be music, canapes, refreshments and entry is $5 per person.
On Saturday from 11am there will be a sand sculpture competition.
The Callala Arts groups would like to invite local musicians and singers to play at one or more sessions at the two-day festival fete opposite the shopping centre.
It’s free to enter and you could win $100.
An amateur photography competition and exhibition will also be held at The Studio in Emmett Street.
This event is all about family fun and the sand sculpting competition at the beach should be a great hit for all.
The two-day fete is also something not be missed.
The fete features handmade and produce markets, a Buskers Fest and Colour Fight Callala at Callala Bay’s Community Hall.
This is a major fundraiser for Callala Arts Group – a not for profit community organisation.
Funds raised will assist The Studio - their gallery and workshop, which offers a much-needed outlet for community classes, art exhibitions and local handmade gifts.
