The 12th annual Berry Celtic Festival is on this Saturday May 26 and features spectacular jousting medieval knights along with eight pipe bands, 12 Celtic Clans, highland dancing, Celtic fiddlers and much more.

Jousting is not for the faint hearted, as the heavily armoured noble knights gallop at each other on horseback with lances poised, aiming to unseat their opponent.
Other knights, in the background, will be resplendent in shining armour will be staging battles in hand to hand combat reliving ‘The War of the Roses’ whilst demonstrating skillful swordplay.
The Berry Celtic Festival starts with the grand street parade down the main street of Berry at 9.30am.
The pipe bands marching in all of their distinctive kilts, and there will be representatives of all of the Clans, the medieval knights, horses and carriage, vintage cars and Scottish Terrier dogs, all making their way to the Berry Showground.
A day full of entertainment follows with the marching of the massed bands, individual performances by the bands, other musical items, Celtic fiddlers, highland dancing, enchanted singing, and of course, the battle of the medieval knights.
There are also lots of Celtic market stalls.
Entry is $10 for adults, with children under 15 years free. It’s on this Saturday 26 May at the Berry Showground.
The Berry Celtic Festival is a fundraising project of the Rotary Club of Berry.
