From dance to vocal, instrumental, speech and drama and numerous school competitions, the City of Shoalhaven Eisteddfod has something for everyone.
New additions to the speech and drama sections include the award of the Gareth Ward Shield for public speaking for students 16 years and under with a $100 first prize.
Dance this year will also include troupe sections for eight to 10-year-old dancers.
Two special dance awards will be introduced.
The Anderson Shield will be awarded to the most outstanding troupe performance and a $500 award to the Shoalhaven Dance Star of the Year.
City of Shoalhaven Eisteddfod program is:
Vocal - Nowra School of Arts - Friday, May 25 - Sunday, May 27 - solos and groups, ballads, classical, jazz, pop/country, sacred, operatic aria contest.
Instrumental - Nowra School of Arts - Thursday, May 31- Sunday, June 3 - solos and groups, piano, keyboard, brass, woodwinds, strings, instrumental groups.
Speech and drama - Nowra School of Arts – Tuesday, June 5 -6 - Solos and groups, prose-reading, verse-speaking, mime, character in costume, public speaking, story-telling.
Schools’ Sections - Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre and Nowra School of Arts - Thursday, May 24 (choral), Thursday, May 31 (instrumental), Tuesday, June 5 (verse speaking), Wednesday, June 6 (drama).
Stars of the Eisteddfod - Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre - Saturday, June 23 from 2pm.
