A charge of robbery armed with an offensive weapon against Trevor Wayne Williams, 33, was dismissed in Nowra District Court after a jury found there was insufficient evidence to convict him.
Police alleged Williams broke into a home in Clipper Road, Nowra around 8pm on May 4, confronting the 70-year-old male occupant with a 30cm kitchen knife.
The court heard Williams had allegedly attended the home with another male before later returning.
Police alleged he forced his way into the home through the front door, and took the man’s wallet which contained a Commonwealth Bank keycard and $3 in cash.
The jury returned a not guilty verdict and Judge Charteris dismissed the charge.
