The South Coast Soul Festival kicked off on Friday at 4pm and includes a jam-packed three-day schedule.
There were several sessions on mental health, fitness, sound healing, sustainable living, yoga and meditation throughout the festival, which managing director Natalie Childs hopes to become an annual event.
“It is about connection to the environment, about sustainable living and looking after Mother Earth and about connecting with like-minded people and ourselves,” she said.
“It is an event aimed at inspiring our ticket holders to be the best version of themselves. There will be a screening of a documentary called E-Motion, which is eye opening and makes you really think about your emotions.”
People from Sydney, Canberra and the South Coast had already purchased tickets to the event, which will be held at Moona Moona Creek and includes fire shows and live entertainment.
Torrential rain on Saturday did not affect numbers dramatically, as those who had bought tickets turned up.
Ms Childs said yoga had changed her life for the better.
“I hadn’t achieved anything before I started yoga, I didn’t even drive a car. Now I am setting goals and have started this festival,” she said.
“It has given me a lot of confidence and made me more patient.”
