THE Men of League Foundation recently held a successful evening fundraiser at the Shoalhaven Greyhound Club on Saturday, April 28 – which saw 34 past players, including seven former Shoalhaven products as well as international player Bruce McGuire, who started his career with the Nowra Warriors.

The foundation would like to thanks Glenn and Karen Midson from the greyhound club as well as everyone that generously donated to their raffle.
As it stands, the foundation, who has more than 24,500 members and 43 local committees, has raised more than $3 million for those eligible, through grant assistance, scholarships and other avenues- including residential care and rehabilitation (provision of aged and disability care) funded by NSW Leagues Clubs.
After the success of this evening at the greyhound club, it has been earmarked to become an annual event each year.
Also on the horizon is the Men of League Foundation’s annual golf day, to be held Worrigee Links Golf Course on Sunday, October 28.
