The 87-year-old Kiama man is charged with an indecent assault with a male, procuring an indecent act with a male, ravaging and carnal knowledge (strictly indictable) and with soliciting or inciting a male to commit an indecent act.
The victim was a teenager at the time.
It is alleged the man performed an act of buggery and oral sex on the other male.
The offences allegedly took place at Hyams Beach at Jervis Bay between January 1, 1966 and January 31, 1966.
The man did not appear in court when the matter was heard by registrar Craig Cockburn in Nowra Local Court on Monday, May 7.
The matter is due to be back in court on June 5.
