On Saturday, both the women’s league tag and under 23 men’s side easily accounted for the Western Rams at Campbelltown Stadium.
John Simon’s women’s side, made primarily of Group Seven products were first to take to the field at the weekend.
In a replay of last year’s semi-final, the Dragons ran out winners 24-18, thanks to tries from Milton-Ulladulla’s Cheyanne Hatch, Jamberoo trio Kaela Thomas, Aimee Barnard and Carly Ryan and Kiama’s Jamie Emerson – with Ryan slotting two conversions.
The men’s side, coach by Wade Forrester, then took to the field and proved too strong for the Rams – cruising to a 40-16 victory.
In the win, the try scorers were Cam Cornell (two), Cameron Vazzoler, Josh Daley, Stuart Mason, Kurt Field, Liam Cassidy and Tony Pellow – with Zac Greene (three) and Field adding conversions.
Both teams will now enjoy the week off before playing the winner of the Monaro Colts and GSR Wests Tigers clash this Saturday at Harris Park, Wagga Wagga, on Saturday, May 19.
