Gilmore MP Ann Sudmalis shot off an email to Liberal party members in her electorate on Wednesday, to assure them she wants to keep her role in parliament following reports that Grant Schultz will also be running for preselection in Gilmore.

“There are rumours regarding my nomination for preselection,” Mrs Sudmalis said via email.
“This short email is to reassure you that I am nominating for preselection.
“I look forward to your continued support and I look forward to winning the next election and returning to government.”
Her message to The South Coast Register wasn’t quite as confident, but conveyed the same idea.
“I will be nominating for preselection, which is the democratic process of the Liberal Party,” Mrs Sudmalis said on Tuesday.
