Glenn Allan Smith, 43, pleaded guilty to cultivating and supplying a prohibited drug at Nowra Local Court on Wednesday.
Magistrate Gabrielle Fleming sentenced the man to a nine-month intensive correction order.
According to police facts tendered to the court, police found 32 hydroponic cannabis plants and 2.3kg of the drug, which was confiscated.
Smith showed officers his elaborate set up, behind a false wall in his garage which led to a shipping container full of drugs.
The hidden growing room had electronic timers, heat lamps, fluro lamps and an automatic watering system for the hanging plants, which ranged from 30cm to a metre in height.
The loose leaf cannabis, 2.34kg of it, was stored in buckets.
Smith immediately admitted to cultivating the illegal crop.
