Callala house party ends in bloody attack

A 22-year-old butcher will serve 150 hours of community service for bashing a 19-year-old woman at a Callala Bay house party a year ago.

Dylan Hancock, of Worrigee, previously of Callala Bay, punched a woman in the face several times, hitting her nose and her left eye on April 15, 2017.

The woman was taken to hospital, her face covered in blood after the late night attack.

In court, Hancock said alcohol had clouded his judgement that night.

Hancock pleaded guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm at Nowra Local Court on Monday, April 16.

The magistrate sentenced him to 150 hours of community service.
