The group, as part of Seniors Week, will be hosting an event on Thursday, April 12 from 9.30am at their shed at 146 North Street, Berry.
All men’s sheds in the local zone are invited to send members along to share ideas for the betterment of their sheds.
Some of the topics the suggested agenda items are: what is working and what is not, safety within the shed, management controls, members with special needs, training to improve member’s skills, fundraising, supervision on the shed floor, recruitment drive for new members, moving forward with new directions, engaging members, insurance and visiting other sheds.
It’s proposed that shed members who feel they have experience in any of the topics should present their findings to assist other shed members.
Event organisers are looking to have seven topics with each one covering 15 minutes which includes questions.
If anyone has a specific topic they would like to raise they can contact the Berry Shed by RSVP time, which is Friday, April 6.
People, after the discussions, can attend a special presentation from Rodney Lewis, an acting senior solicitor and then lunch will be served.
The cost for the day is $30 per shed.
RSVP with numbers no later than April 6 by email to Richard Wiseman at richardcwiseman@hotmail.com or 4464 2619 and David Merrington at vonday95@bigpond.com or 4464 2629.
